Dennis Quaid to Receive Prestigious Cinema Icon Award at CinemaCon 2024
CinemaCon, the official convention of the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO), is proud to announce that the multi-talented actor, musician, and philanthropist, Dennis Quaid, will be honored with the esteemed Cinema Icon Award at this year's event. The Managing Director of CinemaCon, Mitch Neuhauser, made the announcement today, marking a significant highlight of the upcoming convention held from April 8 to 11, 2024, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Dennis Quaid will be presented with the prestigious Cinema Icon Award during the Big Screen Achievement Awards ceremony on the evening of Thursday, April 11, 2024, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The event will be hosted by the official presenting sponsor, The Coca-Cola Company.
Mitch Neuhauser expressed his admiration for Quaid, stating, "From compelling dramas to exhilarating thrillers, Dennis Quaid’s remarkable career is a testament to his talent and versatility as an actor. Quaid's illustrious career spans a multitude of acclaimed films, including "The Rookie," "The Day After Tomorrow," "Traffic," "Vantage Point," "The Parent Trap," and "Frequency," among many others. His upcoming role as Ronald Reagan in ShowBiz Direct’s "Reagan" is highly anticipated, slated for nationwide release on August 30, 2024. Quaid will bring the iconic president's journey to life, alongside Penelope Ann Miller as Nancy Reagan and Kevin Dillon as Warner Bros. Studios founder Jack Warner.
Furthermore, Quaid's production company, Bonniedale, is set to release "The Long Game" on April 12, 2024. Based on a true story, the film follows a group of Mexican-American teen caddies in the 1950s who defy discrimination to out-golf all-white country clubs. Quaid stars alongside Jay Hernandez, Cheech Marin, and other talented actors in this inspiring narrative.
